Week five! We are close to the big reveal, so I’ll try not to give away too much. Last week the tile was just getting started. The wall and floor tile both now done and I love the look.
The blue vanity has been installed. It’s a really beautiful piece, especially the marble top. We are happy with the install now, but boy there was a rough 24 hours trying to get it level. As we know, the floor had been leveled earlier in the project, but there is only so much that can be done in such a small room. We still have a small gradual slope from the tub to the door; a floating vanity or one with adjustable legs and a toe kick would have made things so much easier. In the end our contractor had to trim the legs to allow it to rest on the floor without wobbling.
The new shower niches and window casings are lined with marble. Love the luxe detail.
What’s left to do? Lots! The linen closet shown will be demolished and replaced with a better organization system. Note that original paint color compared to bright white. I’m loving the change.
Other to dos:
wallpaper
hang towel and TP holder
install towel rods
install decorative shelf
lower the pendant lights
See you back here in a week for final photos of this bathroom remodel!
